The last year has been crazy. Having a baby in April and moving to Vancouver in June was just the beginning. Then we had flights back and forth a few times, we visited Ottawa, San Diego, Canmore, Seattle, the Okanagan, Vancouver Island and more (I think). Among all of this my other company, Strategy Twelve, has been steadily growing and I am loving the work I do there and the new clients I have been fortunate enough to work with. People are building some really cool businesses and I am really excited to help them do that!
Many people I meet here in Vancouver don’t know that I do photography, largely because my marketing work has taken over a larger chunk of my time and energy, but the photography still holds a special place in my heart. I decided a couple of years ago that I was going to transition away from photography as a full-time gig in order to spend more time with my family, but I couldn’t bring myself to give it up entirely. A few people have encouraged me to “just pick one”, but the truth is that I probably never will. As long as families and couples are inviting me into their lives to document their love, I’ll be there.
So that’s my story. I’m still here. I still love photographing love. And if you ask me to photograph yours, I think I just might.
