Baby’s First Year

Here it is! As I am starting to shoot more baby photography I thought it would be a good time to introduce a Baby’s First Year program. This will be a great opportunity for those of you expecting in the near future. I find that new parents have a hard time deciding when they should...

Stories from 2010

It seems that it’s that time of year again. The time when one year becomes a different one, when we look back and collect all the stories from the year that will be told in years to come. That’s what I’m doing today. As a photographer I always find that the photos I create are...

#5 takes my breath away. So simple, and yet it tells an entire story. Well done!

Angela - January 3, 2011 - 4:21 pm

Happy New Year. You were so busy last year with the fundraiser – 30 days of Edmonton – countless family, and baby photos and of course the bajillion weddings! Can’t wait to see what you will create this year. Good luck!

Lauren - January 3, 2011 - 4:30 pm

Hey! After our talk the other night, I figured I should comment :P Beautiful work!!!

Kyra - January 3, 2011 - 4:31 pm

As always Amanda, beautiful work! I’m a huge fan of #13 and #14. The lighting and the romance of the setup is just perfect! Looking forward to seeing what 2011 brings your way. :-)

Megan - January 3, 2011 - 4:35 pm

I love #3 on the snowy mountain. I see that photo and it makes me want to have a winter wedding – even though we will actually be getting married in July!

Congrats on a great year! Aaron and I are looking forward to seeing the moments you capture for our own wedding this summer!

Carmen Singh - January 3, 2011 - 4:47 pm

It is nearly impossible to choose a favorite, but if I absolutely must then it has to be # 13… or 16… or 1. Nope, can’t choose, they are all beautiful.

Samantha Astalos - January 3, 2011 - 9:44 pm

They are of course all amazing, but I especially love 9, 11 + 16. Can’t wait for you guys to photograph our wedding in May :)

Amanda - January 3, 2011 - 11:39 pm

Love these pictures Amanda. Especially #1 & #5 (Tim’s picture). Great work this year and congrats again on getting your own studio where you can have your own place to create!

Elizabeth - January 4, 2011 - 12:44 am

Thanks again Amanda and Tim. We had such an awesome time with you guys. That photo (14) is one of my favorites. I call it our “twilight photo” because I feel like it was taken from the scene in Twilight where Edward and Bella are laying in the meadow and he is all sparkly :)

I also love #17, that is just too perfect a moment!

Laura - January 4, 2011 - 12:53 pm

I LOVE them all… but number 11 is so priceless, in so many ways. You are soo talented Amanda!!

Helen - January 14, 2011 - 12:41 pm

Love #17, my parents run with those crazy folks!!
Also love #11, such a sweet emotion and I love the colours!!

Jenny - January 20, 2011 - 11:40 pm

Well, despite the fact that I’d love to say that the girl in #2 is totally gorgeous (right), I am pretty sure that #1 is probably *the* photo that sold me on your photography via your website. And also, #11 is a serious alltime favorite as well. Everyone now! 3…2..1… awwwwwww.

Jenny - January 20, 2011 - 11:43 pm

Uhh, let’s try that again.

Well, despite the fact that I’d love to say that the girl in #2 is gorgeous (riiiight), I’m pretty sure that #1 is the photo that sold me on your photography via your website. And also, #11 is a serious alltime favorite. Every one now! 3… 2… 1… awwww.

Little One: Ethan

A couple of days ago I was fortunate enough to have attended a house concert hosted by Scade Photography (Thanks guys!) with music by Jesh de Rox and Amy Seeley. I know, what does that have to do with newborn photos?! Well, during the concert Jesh talked about how babies have no pre-conceived ideas about...

Courtney - November 10, 2010 - 2:56 pm

Oh Manda! I can’t wait for Baby Rebke to get here now!! (As if I was patient before…)

brenda Blatz - November 10, 2010 - 9:12 pm

LOve your photos Amanda , I have a baby shoot tomorrow and will go in the back yard now. Have you thought of photoshopping the emblem on his shirt out?

Lightside Photography - November 10, 2010 - 9:34 pm

Thanks! I wasn’t really expecting to go outside, but this was right in their backyard so I couldn’t resist. And yes, I will most likely photoshop that logo out in their final prints.

Jenn Lee - November 12, 2010 - 10:19 pm

We are so excited! You captured our precious gift and we love these pics. Can’t wait to see more.
